VI Course – Set Up Your Social Media

Planning Weeks 4-5

Set Up Your Social Media Sites

You can build a community of followers by posting interesting information on your social media accounts.

In today’s very interconnected world you need to give your business the benefit of multiple ways to communicate with new friends, prospects and customers.

If you do this properly you will establish yourself as an “expert” in your chosen line of work.

A common combination of tools

More and more successful business owners are using a multi-part system of communicating with their community.

Here is a common path.

1. Publish a blog post once or twice per week.
2. Whenever you blog, put up a short message on your business Facebook account announcing your new information and providing a link from your Facebook page to your website.
3. Share each blog post with your LinkedIn community.

Social Media Account Set Up

How To Do It

The VI Support Team will assist you in setting up the following social media account page:

LinkedIn Business Profile Page (This profile page is identified with your company name and logo).

Here is how we help you set up  your business-oriented social media accounts.

1. First off, you must already have  a personal LinkedIn profile in order to create a business-oriented profile page. If you do not  have a personal profile you need to inform your VI Coach who will lead you to online tutorials on how to set up personal profiles.

2. If you already have personal LinkedIn profile, you need to share two bits of information with your VI coach:

  • The url address for your LinkedIn page.
  • The user name and password to enter the profile page.

3. Our expert copywriting team will create the LinkedIn Business Page and will insert your logo, as well as writing basic information about your company and the products or services it offers.

4. Once the new site is published, the VI Support Team will share the web address with our website design team who will place an icon for the page in the footer of each page of  your website. This permits visitors to your site to quickly see what you are writing about.

You Need to Publish Regularly

Creating and sharing information, knowledge and referrals to outside articles via your social media sites is known as “posting”.

Just as frequency of sending messages in email marketing is important to build public awareness of your company, so is posting articles regularly (at least twice per month) to your LinkedIn Business Page.
