VI Course – Decide Upon a Manpower Plan

Planning Week 11

Decide Upon Your Manpower Plan

You may be running your new business on your own, but it does not mean that you must be working all by yourself.

During this decision, we will discuss the importance of building a support team to assist you as the CEO of your business.

How to Do It

1.Build Your Own Advisory Group

We suggest that you start by hooking up with a local small business accountant. And a local graphic designer can be very useful also.

Plus as you network to grow you business you likely will meet some other business owners who seem to offer wisdom and experience.

You can ask them to serve in an informal advisory group for your business.

2. Buy Services Online

You really see the truly global aspects of the Web when you go looking for a service provider to do work for you.

Suitable providers are located around the world and since your exchange with them takes place virtually you don’t really notice (or care) whether they are located in San Diego or Santiago.

Here are links to our two favorite websites for finding experts to complete projects for us.

Click here to enter Upwork.com, a great spot to find someone to do computer coding, e-mail writing, etc.

Click here to enter Fiverr.com, a great place to find affordable graphic design.

Independent contractors and the IRS

From a IRS compliance standpoint, you may need to be careful when buying services from other people.

They may represent themselves as “independent contractors” but you should read the article below to understand if they truly do operate that way.
